in Supiori Regency. The implementation of sectoral statistics in Supiori Regency refers to Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Data Indonesia and Supiori Regency Regulation No. 18 of 2022. These two regulations emphasise the importance of accurate, up-to-date and integrated data as the basis for regional development.
Therefore, BPS received an invitation to attend a meeting on Sectoral Data Consolidation and Synchronisation. This activity was part of an action plan initiated by the Secretary of Bappeda, Mr Thomas. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Supiori Regency Tourism Office, Fisheries Office, and Agriculture Office.
Within this framework, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) acts as the data supervisor. BPS ensures that standards, metadata, and statistical recommendations are implemented in accordance with the One Data principle. Meanwhile, Bappeda Supiori acts as the coordinator and the Communication and Information Agency acts as the data custodian. Bappeda coordinates regional agencies, verifies data quality, and ensures its utilisation for planning, evaluation, and development control.
The collaboration between BPS and Bappeda is not merely a technical matter, but rather the foundation for evidence-based development. Through valid sectoral data, local governments can identify potential, respond to challenges, and design more targeted policies.
With accurate and accountable data, Supiori is asserting itself towards more measurable, transparent development governance that prioritises community welfare.
