Data Companion - On Thursday (16/10), at the meeting room of the Supiori Regency Agriculture and Food Crops Service, the BPS-Statistic Supiori Regency held a socialisation event for the Palawija Agricultural Statistics (SP) and SP-Horticulture data collection activities. The participants were all Agricultural Extension Workers and Assistants within the Supiori Regency Agriculture and Food Crops Service
The background to this activity is the lack of availability of data on secondary crops and horticulture in Supiori Regency. This data is sourced solely from the Agriculture and Food Crops Office. Recognising the importance of this data, the Head of the Office took the initiative to invite the BPS-Statistic Supiori Regency to provide training to all Agricultural Extension Workers and Agricultural Assistants, with the aim of ensuring they understand the standard operating procedures for data collection. This activity is expected to ensure improvements and oversight of the quality of the data produced, as well as ensuring it is produced within the specified time frame.
This event was opened by the Chief of the Supiori Regency Agriculture and Food Crops Service, Marina F. Msen SP, MMA, and introduced by the Chief of the Supiori Regency BPS, Paul Santoso, S.ST, M.Si. The speakers were the Chair of the Production Statistics Team, Tri Selviana S.Samon, SM, and Destiana Nur Safitri, S.Tr.Stat.
The Chief of the Agriculture and Food Crops Agency expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the excellent response and willingness of the BPS team to provide training today, despite the sudden nature of this activity due to urgent needs.
