On Monday-Thursday, 21-24 February 2022, BPS Supiori Regency held training for the March 2022 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) officers located at the GKI Sion Paryem Hall, Supiori. The training was opened directly by the head of BPS Supiori Regency, Bowo Budi Sumanto. In his speech, the Head of BPS Supiori Regency conveyed how important Susenas data is as a source of many important indicators for evaluation and development planning, including the Human Development Index (IPM), Poverty Rates and Population Expenditure Distribution. In addition, he also conveyed that officers should ask the best about receiving assistance according to the type because this susenas also captures evaluations of aid distribution by the central government and regional governments such as Food Aid, Wage Subsidy Assistance and Covid Assistance which are mostly implemented this year.
The training activity which lasted for 4 days was led by a National Instructor from the Social Statistics Function of BPS Supiori Regency, namely Paskalinus Markus Asyerem. The total number of participants is 35 people, about 50 percent of whom are new partners who were selected through an open selection via the simitra.bps.go.id website. It is hoped that officers can carry out their duties as field officers well and maintain health protocols considering that the implementation of activities is still in the midst of the peak of the Covid-19 outbreak (6 March -2 April 2022).
